About
David has a computer science degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and worked as a software engineer at Facebook for about three years before moving into music, visual art, and teaching.
He has been part of the AI Working Group for two to three years — from the beginning, when Ben Clayton announced an AI working group for OpenXO members. David joined the education subgroup and its 12-week program, later served as the group's director, and helped re-establish the current structure: one recurring Monday link and the weekly call format.
David founded Exponential Enlightenment LLC, which applies AI to spirituality, spiritual growth, and education. Each summer he brings youth enrichment courses to a local community college — over 35 courses for ages 6 to 14 across three years — designing the curriculum with tools like ChatGPT and Lovable.
"It's systems building systems."
